A. Michael Jacqmain

Passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 17, 2014. Age 64 years. A. Michael Jacqmain was born July 15, 1950 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Arthur E. and Patricia M. (Allega) Jacqmain. They survive him. He married Sally C. Krieg on August 24, 1974 and she survives him. Mike loved his family and especially loved being a Grandpa and made sure everyone knew it. He was very involved at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church in Saginaw, singing in the choir and acting as reader and communion assistant. He retired from Bay City Public Schools, and previously taught at All Saints Central High School and St. Helen School. He coached Science Olympiad and Academic Track as well as Girl's Basketball and Little League when his sons were young. Mike was an avid Detroit Tigers fan, and enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and hunting on "the 400". He was a help to any person in need, never passing the opportunity to lend a hand. Surviving besides his wife and his parents, are two sons and their families; Matthew (Bridget) Jacqmain and their sons Abram and Everett, Adam (Ashley) Jacqmain and their son Clayton. Mike also leaves loving siblings, Susan (Timothy) Daoust, Patricia Grandell, Michael Findley, Stephen (Charlotte) Jacqmain, Jeanne (Nolan) Rosenbaum, Geoff (Kay) Jacqmain, Daniel (Gail) Jacqmain, Cynthia Palmer, Cheryl Jacqmain, many nieces and nephews, and his father-in-law Donald Krieg. Mike was preceded in death by his sister Mary Findley and his mother-in-law Lydia Krieg. Rev. Michael Hahn will officiate the funeral service at 11AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Faith Ev. Lutheran Church, 4432 Mackinaw Rd., Saginaw. Cremation will follow the funeral. The family welcomes friends to gather for visiting hours on Monday, July 21st at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Rd (S-M47) from 12 noon to 4PM, and 6PM to 9PM, and at the church on Tuesday one hour before the funeral. Memorial offerings are suggested to Faith Ev. Lutheran Church.
