Albert H. Huskins, 72, of Munger, our fun, generous and loving husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend was born into eternal life on the afternoon of Monday, August 17, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Al was born in Bay City on August 29, 1942, the son of the late Earl and Viola (Petters) Huskins. On a school bus, he happened to meet the former Shirley Thayer. They remained high school sweethearts, and were united in marriage on February 9, 1963. Al was a skilled welder and spent many years working for Sears, Defoe, Buick of Flint, and most recently, the Boys and Girls Club. He enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, hunting, fishing, John Deere tractors, being surrounded by the outdoors, but most of all, being surrounded by his loving family. His legacy will live on for years to come. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of fifty-two years, Shirley. Al was the unconditional loving father of Keith and wife, Vicky Huskins, Albert Jr. and wife, Lauri Huskins, Brian Huskins, and Scott Huskins (Lori Degg). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Megan and husband, Jerry Greer, Haley Huskins, Kyle Huskins, Jacob Huskins and his great-grandchildren, Connor, Collin and Cailyn. Al is also survived by his siblings, Lynne McQuarter, Margo and husband, Ron Marth and Cynthia Scott; mother-in-law, Amelia Thayer and in-laws, Cindy Watson and Terry and wife, Sandy Thayer. In addition to his parents, Al was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Richard Huskins; father-in-law, Herbert Thayer and brother-in-law, Jerry McQuarter Sr. and William Scott.
