Anna Lou Swart

Passed away Wednesday March 30, 2011. Age 87 years. Anna Lou Bottoms was born April 7, 1923 in Dayton, Ohio to the late David Mattison and Alice Jenny (Kolvoord) Bottoms. She had been a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church for over 25 years, where she participated in the Shalom Circle and the church choir. Anna had been employed as a special education teacher for over 25 years before her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family.Surviving are two children, Rose Marie (Roland) Wilson and David (Suzanne) Swart; seven grandchildren, Wendy Leigh Ostipow, Rebecca Rae Wilson, Robert Nicholas Swart, Michael Swart, Daniel Swart, Linda Swart, and Elizabeth Swart; ten great grandchildren; one brother, George Daniel Bottoms; and many other loving family members and friends. Anna was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Avery and Mary Wentworth. Funeral service will take place 11:00 AM Friday, April 1, 2011 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway. Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S. Midland Road (M47) on Thursday from 2-4PM and 6-8 PM and at the church on Friday one hour before the service.
