Arlene Marie Blehm

April 7, 2015
Arlene Marie Blehm, 84, of Essexville, our wonderful and loving mother, grandma, nana, sister, aunt and friend went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Tuesday, April 7, 2015. Arlene was born in Bay City on February 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Ruth (View) Robinson. At the movie theater, she happened to meet a gentleman by the name of Robert Blehm. They dated, fell in love, were united in marriage and shared many years and countless memories together until his passing on May 12, 2001. Known for her feisty, yet kind ways, Arlene was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She will always be remembered for her unwavering love of her family, love of camping, and love for Bingo. Arlene was loved by all and will be deeply missed, especially by her friends at Pineview, where she enjoyed all of the activities, especially puzzles. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Connie (Alan) Dishaw, Debra (Daniel) O'Leary, Rick (Debra) Blehm, Robert (Tammy) Blehm, Kenneth (Brenda) Blehm and Sharon (Doug) Joles. She was the loving grandma and nana of nineteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Arlene also leaves behind her siblings, Nancy Loran, Kenneth (Gail) Robinson, Robert (Robin) Robinson, Merle (Carol) Robinson, Linda (John) Gingerick, Larry (Sherry) Robinson, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and her husband, Arlene was welcomed home to heaven by her siblings, Betty Jajo, Mary Jajo, Joan VanTol, Eugene "Sonny" Robinson and Rosann McCann. Arlene's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of her 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Heartland - Hampton for their compassionate and loving care. Arlene was a favorite resident of mine. Many days in the afternoon she would stop by my office and chat with me. We had a few connections from the old days. I worked with her on many pot luck lunches at Pineview. I looked forward to visiting with her. I know she was well liked by all the residents. She will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
