EDMOND, Audrey June-of Saginaw, age 88, passed away peacefully at her home on July 4, 2017. Audrey was born April 7, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Walter and Charlotte Arvilla (Kelzow) Martin. She married John Edmond on July 6, 1957 and he preceded her in death on May 11, 1994. She later spent over 20 years with her special friend, John Balderas. Audrey worked for Buena Vista Schools for over 20 years as a Teacher’s Aide before retiring in 1993. Spending her whole life in Saginaw, she was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. Audrey was a Lioness with the Lions Club in Buena Vista and a past member of the Frankenmuth Gun Club. She enjoyed gardening, canning, knitting, fishing and traveling. Above all, Audrey loved to spending time with her family, grandchildren and especially her great grandchildren. Surviving are: Son, George (Becky) Meeker; Grandchildren: Tracy (Bryan) Corbat, George II (Emma) Meeker; 2 great grandchildren: Nicklas Corbat and Annika Corbat; her special friend: John Balderas; 2 sisters: Charlotte McDougall and Mabel (Charles) McDougall; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by 1 son: Ronald Edmond, 1 brother George Martin; 1 brother in law Frank McDougall. The family would like to thank the following organizations for their gracious care and support: Covenant Visiting Nurse Association- Hospice Care, Faith and Family Home Help Services and Primary Home Care. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, July 8, 2017 at St. John Lutheran Church at 915 Federal Street, Saginaw, MI. Pastor Rob Schmidt officiating. Burial to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 4PM until 8PM and Saturday at the church from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John Lutheran Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.
