Audrey W. Sundeck

Passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. Age 76 years. Audrey Winifred Block was born January 27, 1934 in Downers Groe, IL to Martin and Frances (Schurmann) Block. She married Raymond Sundeck on August 14, 1954. He survives her.Audrey was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. She served as president of Healthsource Auxiliary and had been a longtime member. She was a project manager of the design and installation of the chapel at Healthsource. She also worked as a dental assistant for many oral surgeons in the area. Audrey was an avid gardener, and a longtime volunteer during her children’s school years. She was a devoted grandmother, and enjoyed playing bridge and loved golf.Surviving besides her husband, she leaves three daughters, Carrie (William) Sundeck Ehrlich, Carol Sue Sundeck, and Krista (Glenn) Mori; eight grandchildren, Nicholas and James Aretakis, Casey and Claire Ehrlich, Ryan (Kristie) and Kevin Brethauer, Rachael and John Carter; a great grandson Lucas Brethauer; one sister Harriett Taber, and many other loving family members and friends. Audrey was preceded in death by her son Scott Raymond Sundeck, her brothers James, Martin, Hermann, and William Block; and her sister Eleanor Schuster. Funeral Service will take place 11AM Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Paul Werner will officiate. Entombment will take place at Chapel Hill Mausoleum. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on South Midland Rd on Friday from 2PM to 4PM, and 6PM to 8PM, and at the church on Saturday one hour before the funeral.
