Betty F. Dietzel

Passed away Thursday December 15, 2011. Age 87 years. Betty Frances Krause was born June 15, 1924 in Saginaw to the late Henry and Eunice (Crosby) Krause. She married Melvin D. Dietzel February 15, 1947. He predeceased her October 21, 1993. Mrs. Dietzel was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Rockport. She served her country in the Cadet Corps during World War II. She received her nursing degree from St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw and retired as a registered nurse.Surviving are her son Rev. M. Thomas (Suzanne) Dietzel of Rockport and pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Sinton, TX; two granddaughters, Erica and Amanda Dietzel of San Antonio, TX; her sister Karen (Ted) White of Greenbush, MI; her sister-in-law Jan Krause of Bradenton, FL; her brother-in-law Fred (Lorna) Dietzel of Saginaw; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Dietzel was predeceased by her brother Henry Krause.Funeral Service will take place 11AM Wednesday December 21, 2011 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (M-47). Rev. M. Thomas Dietzel will officiate along with Erica and Amanda Dietzel. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-8 PM and on Wednesday one hour before the service. Memorial offerings are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church of Sinton, TX or Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Rockport, TX.
