Betty J. Huri, 90, of Munger, our loving and strong mother, neighbor, and friend passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, January 2, 2017 at The Carriage House. Betty was born in Saginaw on March 27, 1926 and was united in marriage to her devoted husband, Julius "Jo" Huri on December 11, 1943. Sadly, Julius preceded Betty in death on May 27, 2016 after 73 years of marriage. Throughout life, Betty was known as a faithful and dedicated homemaker. She enjoyed camping in Florida and the Midwest, and often enjoyed traveling with her daughter. Her cooking skills were second to none; Betty's homemade piecrusts were the best and would melt in your mouth. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Susan Huri Geiger. In addition to her parents and her husband, Betty was welcomed home to heaven by her sister, Violet Wasney (Yeager). A private committal will take place at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Saginaw on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.
