Caroline Rose Snyder, 80, of Essexville, our beautiful, loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, October 17, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Caroline was born on May 29, 1934 to the late Fred and Cecilia (Corrion) Shillair. At the young age of nine, Caroline met a man by the name of Bobby J. Snyder. They exchanged a promise of marriage and were reunited at the age of seventeen. On May 28, 1952, Caroline and Bobby were married in St. Norbert Church. Caroline enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her positive attitude and wonderful smile that would light up the entire room. Caroline's passion in life was to help others. Her kind and loving ways will live on in the hearts of her family and friends for generations to come. Caroline leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband of sixty-two years, Bobby J. Snyder. She was the unconditional loving mother of Judy Kuligowski, Mary Jane Pollard, Mickey and husband, Richard Awrey and Kirk and wife, Joan Snyder. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; brother, Joe and wife, Marion Shillair; sister, Edna Schoof, sister-in-law, Catherin and husband, Richard Gavord; special niece, Jan Newman-Rinck, along with many nieces, nephews and countless friends. In addition to her parents, Caroline was welcomed home to heaven by her siblings, Frank, Virgil, Earl, and Leonard Shillair, Pearl Monroe and many in-laws. Caroline's family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, October 20, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for the Deceased at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Tuesday, October 21, 2014, Caroline will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist), 614 Pine St., Essexville where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of Caroline's 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with cremation to follow. Caroline will be laid to rest in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. The entire family wishes to extend a special thanks to the wonderful staff of the NICU at McLaren Bay Region and McLaren Hospice for their compassionate care.
