Catherine “Cathy” A. Eichhorn, 69, of Bay City, our caring, friendly, outgoing and loving mother and Nana passed away on the morning of Monday, October 21, 2013 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
Cathy was born in Bay City on September 17, 1944, the daughter of the late Edward and Loretta (Zielinski) Wieszczecinski. She was a 1962 graduate of Bay City Central and would go on to meet Aaron “Ike” Eichhorn. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on April 30, 1966 in St. Boniface Church. Cathy worked for several years as a medical transcriptionist at St. Mary’s and was most recently employed with TransTech Health. She loved horse racing, elephants, U. of M. Football and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.
Cathy leaves to cherish her memory her children, Chris and wife, Melissa Eichhorn, Lori and husband, Jeremy Powers and Tim Eichhorn. She was the loving Nana of Brett Eichhorn, Brianna, Lakin and Alyvia Hahn and Emily, Page and Kelsey Andrzejewski. ..enjoyed many a laughter and good time with Cathy……WATCHED ALL YOU KIDS GROW UP AND KNOW HOW SHE LOVED YOU!
Chris, Lori, Tim, So sorry about the loss of your Mother. I will never forget all the good times that Rich and I had with your Mother and Dad. Going to the Church picnics, Barneys, dancing in my living room, we always had lots of fun. Its hard to believe how many years ago that was. I will miss her, but now she is with Ike dancing. Prayers and hugs to everyone. Linda Lomba

There are two memories of my Mother-in-Law that stick out the best for me. The first is when Lori and I told her we were getting married and she said “Boy are you gonna have your havds full with Lori and the girls!” Still makes me laugh to this day. The other is when Lori and I took Cathy to the casino. We picked her up and she was all dressed up for a night on the town! None of us won but spending the time together and seeing Cathy’s excitement was priceless!
