September 29, 1946 ~ February 25, 2016
Cecelia Anne Soderquist, 69, of Bay City, our loving, generous, and caring mother, “Mimmer,” sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. Ceil was born in Bay City on September 29, 1946, the daughter of the late Harold and Cecelia (Byrne) Soderquist. She attended Holy Trinity School, graduated from Brighton High School, and studied at Delta College. Her career path would lead her to assist countless people as a licensed practical nurse. She was also a dedicated bookkeeper. Her true love was her family. Ceil will forever be remembered as an amazing mom and Mimmer, a great, patient, and understanding mentor, and a best friend to many. Ceil was an excellent listener, and cherished the time spent reading and playing games with her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for always putting others before herself, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved for years to come. Ceil leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Melissa and husband, William Blunt of Sebewaing. “Mimmer” translates into grandma’s love; her love for Jessica, Brooke, Brian, Nick, and Travis will always remain. Sis,
It is hard to believe that it was about 25 years ago that we were neighbors. We may have been neighbors then but you were always family to me and my daughter. Sending prayers and love to all the family. Sorry it takes something like this for us all to find each other again.
Love and miss you sis,
