Curtis Hardenburg

Curtis Hardenburg, 75, of Essexville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at his home. Curtis was born in Flint on November 29, 1939, the son of Louis and Lyla (Leathers) Hardenburg. He was a gifted artist and worked for many years as a sign painter. Curtis enjoyed shooting pool, writing, drawing and motorcycles. Curtis is survived by his partner in life and special friend since the 8th grade, Nancy Proffer. He leaves behind Neil Hardenburg, Tracy Samyn, Brent Hardenburg and their wonderful mother, Helen. He was the wonderful grandpa of Matthew, Hailey and Meghan. Curtis also leaves behind seven siblings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings. Curtis' family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, April 11, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of his 11:00 AM Celebration of Life at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. The family will welcome guests for a reception to follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski's. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
