Dale Jonathan Zajac

dale zajac

Dale Jonathan Zajac, 69, of Hampton Twp., our hardworking and selfless husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away suddenly on Monday, October 30, 2023 at his home. Dale was born on March 11, 1954, the son of the late Frank and Reta (Agdanowski) Zajac. He graduated from All Saints High School in 1972.

Through his love of cars and cruising, he caught the eye of the former Mary Jo Bearse; they dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on November 30, 1979. They enjoyed almost 44 years of marriage, building a family and sharing countless moments together.

A true craftsman at heart, Dale had an innate talent for building. Whether it was a magnificent structure or a small keepsake, his creativity knew no bounds. As a licensed builder, he put his passion and expertise to work building homes. After immersing himself in the world of construction, upon retirement Dale embarked on his second career as a truck driver, traveling the open roads delivering goods with precision and care. Not one to sit idle for long, he retired from truck driving only to find himself ensuring the safety of others through his craftsmanship in machine safety enclosures.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dale found solace in the simpler pleasures of life. He had a passion for camping and enjoyed exploring the beauty of nature, sharing these cherished moments with his family. Dale found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, watching them grow and imparting upon them his wisdom and love. Additionally, Dale found exhilaration in riding his motorcycle, feeling the freedom of the open road.

Dale will be remembered as a pillar of strength and loving husband to his wife, Mary Jo, and as a devoted father to Jeremy (Pamela) Zajac, Randy (Abby) Zajac, and Michael (Sarah) Zajac. He also leaves his grandchildren, Wyatt, Declan, Avery, Rylan, Rowan, Ella, Mason, Arabella, Raven, Ezlyn, and Maverick; siblings, Frank Zajac, Sue Mills, Terry Zajac, and Dianna (Richard) Rahall; in-laws, Sue Bearse and Don Kocubinski; many nieces and nephews, and his four-legged furry companions, Gladys and Wylie. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Paula Vasquez, and In-laws, Robert and Betty Bearse.

Dale’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 3:00 PM until his 6:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society. Expressions of sympathy may be shared online at www.skorupskis.com.
