Dale Rudolph Hecht, 82, of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Heartland Health Care Center - Hampton. Dale was born in Tuscola County on January 10, 1933, the son of the late Ludwig and Bertha (Rau) Hecht. Dale was a faithful and active member of Trinity - St. James Lutheran Church in Munger, where he will be deeply missed. He had an excellent green thumb with tomatoes and enjoyed helping neighboring farmers especially his friends at Lupcke Farms. In his free time, Dale could be found driving truck to haul corn, beets and beans. He also enjoyed polka music and spending time with family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Hecht and his two sons, Lynn and wife, Leeann Hecht and their children, Jacob, David and Daniel Hecht and Alan and wife, Susan Hecht and their son, Isaac Hecht. Dale is also survived by his brother, Marvin and wife, Jean Hecht; step children, Ann Marie and husband, Joseph Middleton and their children, Joseph, Thomas and Rachel Middleton; James Pfundt; William Pfundt (fiancee, Jennifer Campbell and her son, Jonas) and his children, Jacob and Ashley Pfundt and Sharon and husband, Chad Staudacher and their children, Corrin, Brendan and Leah Staudacher. In addition to his parents, Dale was welcomed home to heaven by his granddaughter, Melanie Pfundt (daughter of William Pfundt) and siblings, Roy Hecht, Erwin and wife, Hulda Hecht, Ralph and wife, Mildred Hecht, Milda and husband, Ernest Kern and Harvey and wife, Sandra Hecht. Dale's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Saturday, March 7, 2015, Dale will be taken to Trinity - St. James Lutheran Church, 119 E. Munger Rd., Munger, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of Dale's 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony. Interment will be held privately at St. Michael's Cemetery in Richville. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Tammy Gies and the entire staff of Red Oaks AFC for their compassionate care.   5. I would just like to say what a wonderful man Dale was. He was always there for so many people. I will always remember him and Ray Timm as they teamed up together to go on communion calls. I use to call them Chip and Dale. They were such a good team together. Dale was a great friend to me and we had so many memories. Your family was blessed by him along with so many other. Prayers for you and your family. We know Dale is up in heaven now serving his Lord and Savior.

  8. I will always remember Dad playing pirates and hiding stuff animals with Jake. Him and Sandy was such help when they came and stayed with us when the twins were born and Jake had the chicken pox. We would have never made it without them.
    We love you guys!!!

  10. I always loved when Dale served communion when he was an elder at Trinity St James. He’d declare, “This is the precious blood of your Lord and Savior” with such emotion. He loved the Lord and you could tell by his words and actions. He was a great role model, and I will miss him greatly. ~ Stacey Stahl
