Daniel Dunlap

daniel dunlap
Daniel D. Dunlap, 51, of Bay City, was born into eternal life on the afternoon of Thursday, February 5, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Daniel was born in Chicago on February 21, 1963, the son of David and Patricia (Shanon) Dunlap. As a child, Daniel greatly enjoyed swimming, biking, camping, kick ball, farming and loved to be active in family reunions. As an adult he would find joy in playing card game, such as Euchre, Spades and Rummy. When it came to board games, Daniel could play Monopoly for days. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors on a nice, bright sunny day, along with cooking out and playing croquette. There was no way Daniel would start his day without coffee. He liked his coffee just how he liked his women: hot, sweet and tan. He was a picky eater, but when it came to Chili or Goulash, there was never a complaint and you could bet on him having a nice cold Vernors or Grape Soda. He didn't always eat desert, but when he did, you could count on ice cream or a Reese's cup. In his most recent years, Daniel enjoyed watching television. Every Monday and Friday you could count on him cheering on his favorite wrestler, Daniel Brian. If wrestling wasn't on, he would be watching his "Gun Smokes" as him and his great-niece would say. The two of them would always talk back to the TV while watching Cops. If you were to show up in the evening time, you would be sure to catch the Golden Girls, or "his girlfriends" as his sister would say. Left to cherish his memory are Daniel's two sisters, Jeanette and husband, Leonard Schmidt and Denise and husband, John Adams. He will be forever missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and his many nieces and nephews who will proudly carry on his great words of wisdom and love for others, as he has taught them. Daniel was welcomed home to heaven by his father, David Dunlap who passed away on April 12, 1982; his mother, Patricia Sierras who left us on April 12, 2008 and his little sister and best friend, Petrinia Burns. Daniel's family will be present to receive visitors on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 4:00 PM until the time of his 7:00 PM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Jose Maria Cabrera will officiate with cremation to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.

  1. I’m gonna miss you Uncle Danny!!!! You will always be in my heart and mind till my last breath until we meet again… Thank you for always being in my corner threw the bad and the good… You are my biggest fan and I’m yours… This isn’t the end of you, you have just been set free!!! We praise God that you will never feel pain, misery, or suffering again… As you would say “living in Hell” becasue of all your restrictions…. BUT YOU ARE HEALED!!!!! Your RUNNING on streets of GOLD and got to meet the wonderful maker… I only grieve because you got there before I did and I have to stay till my work for the Lord is done….. Keep my momma company, give my grandma kisses for me… Love you forever and always
