denise (faust) vantol

Denise Eileen (Faust) VanTol, 39 of Lansing, formerly of Hampton Twp., our loving wife, free-spirited daughter, cherished sister, aunt and friend passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at McLaren-Greater Lansing with her family by her side.

Denise was born on October 19, 1984, the daughter of Randy (Lori) VanTol and Jeannie (Ron) Rabadue. She attended Bay City Central and went on to work for Walgreen’s. While at work, she met Kurt Faust, they dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on March 30, 2022. They enjoyed making trips to their favorite Mexican restaurant in Eaton Rapids for wet burritos. While her time here on earth was short, being the adventurous person she was, Denise could often be found enjoying the solitude of the outdoors kayaking, fishing and watching Law & Order: SVU. Some of her favorite times were spent on the family Centennial Farm, riding in her Grandpa’s 1988 black Chevy truck and attending concerts with her sister.

She was a humble person who touched the lives of countless individuals with her radiant smile and genuine kindness. Her warm-hearted nature and unwavering support uplifted those around her, making her a beloved friend, confidante, and a beacon of light in times of darkness. Denise had a smile that could melt the hardest of hearts. Her infectious laughter will forever be remembered by those that loved and adored her. Her resilience and unwavering dedication to those she loved will live on in their memories.

Along with her parents, Denise leaves to carry on her legacy her husband, Kurt Faust; siblings, Hope (Eric) Fowler and Lesley (Ed) Bodrie; step-brother, Scott Martinson, step-sister, Michelle (Tim) Ziegler, step-brother, Bill (Yasha) Rabadue, step-sister, Jill Maziarz; sister-in-law, Rebecca (Ryan) Perry, brothers-in-law, Thomas (Danielle) Faust and Matthew (Tawni) Faust; her nieces and nephews, Sophia Fowler, Sydney Fowler, Blake Martinson, R.J Perry, Ralina Perry, Isaiah Faust, Elijah Faust, Micah Faust, Parker Faust and Paisley Faust; special friend, Janelle Connaghan; mother-in-law, Lynn Tinkham and several aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Glen and Nancy Solomon and Eileen and Virgil “Fid” VanTol; uncle and godfather, Timothy VanToland, and father-in-law, Owen Faust.

  3. Candle 8Phillis Robertson, I worked with Denise for quite a few years at Walgreen pharmacy. Every time you seen Denise she had a smile on her face. I don’t think I ever remember her without that smile bouncing through the store always had something good say to everyone that knew her. IThis saddens my heart to hear this. My condolences and prayers go out to all her family.

  4. Candle 5My thoughts & prayers are with the family and friends of such an amazing, caring person. I will always cherish how she reached out to me while I was going through a rough time few years back and talking to her truly helped me. She was an absolute angel to me at that time and I pray that everyone who got the privilege to love her, finds comfort. Rest in Heaven sweet girl.
