Dolores A. Hales

Passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Tuesday August 28, 2012. Age 99 years. Dolores Anna Pletzke was born June 26, 1913 in Saginaw to the late John and Elsie (Schroeder) Pletzke. She married R. Ford Hales May 11, 1935. He predeceased her August 15, 1980. Dolores was a member of Resurrection Lutheran Church where she was active in the women's circle and crocheted comfort quilts. She was a wonderful and supportive mother who always had a positive attitude.Surviving are two daughters, Barbara (Don) Styn of Bay City and Janet Hufton of Saginaw; four granddaughters, Pamela (Stephen) Skillman, Donna (Dale) Graczyk, Nancy (Larry) Engelhardt, and Christine (Greg) Lobodzinski; one grandson Wilfrid (Shelly) Hufton, III; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Lois Kriener and Norine Hales; and many other loving family members and friends. Dolores was predeceased by her great grandsons Matthew Graczyk and Garrett Skillman, and her son-in-law Wilfrid Hufton, II.Funeral service will take place 12 Noon Thursday August 30, 2012 at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 2110 Brockway. Rev. Kathleen Basner will officiate. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the church on Thursday from 9 AM until the time of service. Memorial offerings are suggested to Heartland Hospice or Resurrection Lutheran Church Carrilon Memorial.
