Donald R. Manning

Passed away Saturday July 7, 2012. Age 82 years. Donald Ralph Manning was born July 4, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan to Thomas and Leora (Buschke) Manning. They predeceased him. He married Elaine Crandall on November 27, 1948. They shared 64 years together. She survives him. Mr. Manning was a member of The Fraternal Order of Eagles. He retired from Frito Lay Foods in 1991 after 27 years of service. Surviving besides his wife Elaine he leaves three sons and four daughters; Kay (Kevin Mallon) Ferguson, Susan (Thomas) Gehrls, Donald Jr. (Cathy) Manning, Mary Jo (Patrick) McKenna, Daniel Manning, Patricia (Jesus) Perez) James (Maureen) Manning, 20 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, one sister JoAnn Loehr, and many other loving family members and friends. Don was preceded in death by his daughter Connie Clark, his son John Manning, and his granddaughter Christy Manning.Funeral service will take place 1PM Friday, July 13, 2012 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland RD (S-M47). Pastoral minister Sharon Wahl will officiate with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 PM to 8 PM, and on Friday from 11AM until the time of the funeral service.
