Edward James Tacey, 92, of Essexville, our generous, fun-loving, and jolly husband, dad, Papa, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Monday, October 31, 2016 at Bay Medical Care Facility. Ed was born in Hampton Twp. on February 28, 1924, the son of the late David and Edith (Erno) Tacey. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Navy and was united in marriage to the former Frances Solinski on February 22, 1949 at St. John's Church. Throughout life, Ed worked for Aetna Cement Plant and was a dedicated produce farmer. He will forever be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing (especially ice fishing), and farming. Ed lived a good, full life, and his legacy will live on for generations to come. He leaves to cherish his memory, Frances "Verna," his devoted wife of 67 years and their children: Sharon LeBrun, Dave (Ann) Tacey, and Les (Judy) Tacey. Ed was the most loving and supportive Papa of Kevin (Lesley) LeBrun, Kris (Ashley) LeBrun, Jennifer Tacey, Breanna Tacey, and Chad (Jen) Barratt. His memory will live on in the hearts of his great-grandchildren, Aleck LeBrun, Daniel LeBrun, Chase and Sloan Barratt; siblings, Norma Kline (Andy), Tom and Janet Tacey, and in-laws, Pat and Joe Badour, Tony and Sally Solinski, and Floyd Solinski. In addition to his parents, Ed was welcomed home to heaven by his twin girls, Mary and Margaret Tacey; son-in-law, Daniel LeBrun, along with many siblings. Ed's family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for Ed at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Friday, November 4, 2016, Ed will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church), 614 Pine St., Essexville, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of his 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy.
