  1. I didn’t know Edwin, but I wish to send your family my deepest condolences. I understand how painful it is to lose someone in death, for I have lost several people. Yet, something that brings me tremendous comfort is the promise found at John 5:28, 29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” Yes, soon you will have the chance to welcome Edwin back to a beautiful new paradise earth under which God will “swallow up death forever.” (Isaiah 25:8) Until that time, may you find great relief in the “God of all comfort” and his wonderful future promises. (2 Corinthians 1:3; Revelation 21:4; jw.org)
