Eileen J. Tackman, 72, of Hampton Twp., our humorous, strong willed, kind, and generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home, with her family by her side. Eileen was born on November 24, 1946 in Bay City, the daughter of the late Edwin and Ester (Reder) Karbowski. Eileen grew up in Crump and graduated from Pinconning High School, class of 1964. Through mutual friends, she met Elmer Tackman. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage for over 31 years. Eileen worked at CenturyTel for 29 years and a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church.) Those who knew Eileen will forever remember her love of golfing, fishing, doing crossword puzzles, reading, doing sudoku, and above all, spending time with her friends and family. Eileen will be missed dearly and lovingly remembered for generations to come. Eileen leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Elmer; children, Christine LaFave and Tracey (Greg) Kienbaum; step-son, Gary (Sue) Tackman; grandchildren, Garrett L. Graff, Kendall R. Graff, Joshua C. Graff, C. J. Brooks III, Amelia J. Phillips, Anthony LaFave, Chance LaFave, James LaFave, Charlie Tackman, and Molly Tackman; siblings, Georgeanne (Gene) DeArchanglo, Carol (Dan) Reichstiner, Don (Marlene) Karbowski,Tom (Diane) Karbowski, Edwina (Louis) Lanczyk, and Rich (Patty) Karbowski, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. In addition to her parents, Eileen was welcomed home to heaven by her son, Ronald LaFave, and granddaughter, Kyla Frost. Eileen’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, August 16, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Saturday, August 17, 2019, Eileen will be taken to St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist Church) 614 Pine St., Essexville, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until the time of her 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.

  2. She will be forever remembered as a 2nd mom to me and my brothers from our younger years. Doctoring and bandaging us all up from time to time scolding us and of course laughing at and with us as parents do with kids. I wish for you all peace at this time of your life.   3. She was my grandma and i miss her but ik she will always be with us I remember when she used to pick me up from school every day and give me a rice crispies treat I love her and miss her but she is better now.- Amelia
