Eleanore Mildred Rivet, 94, of Bay City, our loving, cheerful, caring, and feisty mother and grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 25, 2015. Eleanore was born in Sebewaing on July 26, 1921, the daughter of the late Herman and Emma (Heinitz) Schweitzer. Eleanore was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and was known for her true love for her Detroit Pistons. Most of all, Eleanore will always be remembered for her unwavering devotion and love for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, John and wife, Sandra Johnston and Shirley Ortiz; step-children, Dan and wife, Cheri Rivet, Glenda and husband, Don Pinkston, and Randall Rivet. Eleanore was the proud and supportive grandma of Nicole and husband, Joshua Tuzas, Annette Coleman, Jeanette and husband, Jeff Roof, Lanette and husband, Jeffrey Davis, Henry Geisz, Trisha and husband, Kyle Meinhard, Diana Lugo, along with many great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Eleanore was welcomed home to heaven by her daughter, Laura Lugo; granddaughter, Roshelle Sevilla; husbands, Roy Johnston in 1987 and Glenn Rivet in 1996, along with her step-son, Gary Rivet. A Memorial Ceremony will be held at a later date. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.   2. Eleanore she was beautiful inside and out, she loved and treated me and my kids like we were a part of her family. She will be missed by many who knew her. I know me and my kids will miss her deeply. I will miss your long talks and visits with her. to her family so sorry for your loss what great mother and grandmother.
