Francis A. Vendelboe

Vendelboe, Francis A. – of Saginaw, age 73, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Midland. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Sunday, October 30, 2016, at Reitz – Herzberg Funeral Home – 1550 S. Midland Rd. in Saginaw. Final interment will be at Owen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Sunday from 10 AM until the time of services at 1 PM. Frank was born April 12, 1943, in Los Angeles, CA. to the late William and Margaret (Cook) Vendelboe. He was raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas and came to Saginaw after his service in the U.S Navy. At the Schuch Hotel, he met his future wife, Shirley Fish. They resided in and raised their family in Saginaw. Frank was retired from Muehlenbeck Distributing and was a member of the Teamsters Local 486. He was also a member of the VFW Post 7302 of Hemlock and the Loyal Order of the Moose. Frank enjoyed bowling, NASCAR, sports, and spending time with his family. Surviving are: Daughter, Brenda Vendelboe, and fiancé, Leonard Schneider of Midland; 4 grandchildren: Amber Russell, William (Jennifer) Russell, Seth Vendelboe, and Coty Lewis; Great grandchild, Hunter Russell; 2 brothers: James Vendelboe of MD., and Donald (Beverly) Vendelboe of MO., 2 step-sisters; Frank was also preceded in death by his former wife, Shirley, daughter, Sherry, and his beloved dog, Queena.
