Gary Robert Kilmer

June 20, 2019
Gary Robert Kilmer, 53, of Bay City, our humorous and caring father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on June 20, 2019 at his home. Gary was born on March 18, 1966 in Bay City, the son of Donna F. (Prell) Parker. Gary was a drivetrain technical consultant for General Motors at Morley, retiring in 2016. He was a proud tribal member of Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. Gary loved working with technology and anything to do with computers, in his spare time he also enjoyed wood working. He will be missed dearly. Gary leaves to cherish his memory his children, Brandon Killey, Brennen Kilmer, and Ashley Ginger; his mother Donna F. Parker; siblings, Tammi Lee and Cris (Amy) Parker; his very best friend, Victor (Kelly) Trevino; nieces and nephews, Kourtney Landon, Taylor Parker, Dennis Lee, and Keagan Parker. Gary was welcomed home to heaven by his grandfather, Oscar Prell; grandparents, Clyde and Geraldine Kilmer, along with several dear aunts and uncles. Gary’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, June 24, 2019 from 1:00 PM until the time of his 7:00 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
My family and I send our sincere sympathies to Gary’s extended family. He was taken too soon from this world but I know that “Little Gary” as his grandmother Geraldine Kilmer referred to him (long after the nickname was descriptive) was there — as were so many other loved ones — to take his hand and guide him as he crossed over. He is at peace and surrounded by love. We hope those who survive him feel that same love in all the days ahead.
My deepest sympathy on your loss. You were a great friend and co-worker at Morley and your never ending sense of humor will be missed by many.
So sorry for your loss.
Another sad day for our family. The last time I saw Gary was at our aunt Dorothy funeral.. He had a stroke but used everything he had to walk to where he had to get to be with his family that day showing much strength and courage.. He was taken way too early. RIP cousin Gary!!!
Sending my deepest condolences for your dear Gary. May you find comfort from the bible scriptures at Acts 24:15 that “there IS going to be a resurrection” and John 5:28, 29 which says “all those in the memorial tombs WILL hear his voice and come out”. Where will they come out to? Psalms 37: 11,22,29 says the meek, righteous, and blessed ones WILL possess the earth and find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace forever.” Until that future promise is fulfilled, the bible says your loved one will rest in a deep sleep until Jesus awakens him – John 11:11-14.
donna Tammy Chris and grays kids and grandchildren I’m so sorry for your loss my hearts heavy for all of you. I’ll be praying for all of your family Love ya Donna
