Grace Cafagna Terry, 71, of Clinton Township, our cherished, devoted and loving mother, Nana, sister, niece, aunt, cousin and friend was born into eternal life on the evening of Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at McLaren – Macomb. Grace Assunta Cafagna was born in Detroit on February 19, 1943, the daughter of the late Valerio Cafagna and Ida Cafagna-Corona. Grace attended St. Catherine School and while on a double date (with someone else), she would go on to meet Clifford Terry, Sr. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on October 23, 1965. Sadly, after nearly forty years of marriage, Cliff preceded Grace in death on August 31, 2004. Known for her true zest for life, and love of her family, Grace’s smile and laugh could light up the entire room. Her quick wit and willingness to help those in need will live on for generations to come. Grace leaves to cherish her memory her five loving children, Michele and husband, Michael Keys, Annette and husband, Frank Russell, Tracey and husband, Carmen DiTrapani, Valerie and husband, David Dusty and Clifford Jr. and wife, Jennifer Terry. Grace was the unconditional loving Nana of Michael, Matthew, Marcus, Frankie, Nicholas, Jeffrey, Samantha, Jordan, Thomas, Andrew, Tyler, Trevor, Alexandria, Adrianna and Joseph. Grace also leaves behind her loving sister, Valerie and husband, Frank Ruffino and sister-in-law, Anne Cafagna. Grace was the beloved Godmother, niece, aunt, cousin and friend to many. In addition to her parents and her husband, Grace was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, John Cafagna and nephew, Jerry Cafagna. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.

  18. Loving memories of being her cousin all her life, and knowing her whole family all of my life. Her smile was infectious and her humor lifted us all up. We visited her recently in Florida, at her condo (where she cooked for about 15 of us) and at our condo, with some other family members 2 years ago. She loved relaxing in Florida and having children and grandchildren come to spend their spring breaks. We will miss her every day and pray that her family finds peace and comfort from her love and her life.

  24. ‘While others see only a hopeless end, believers rejoice in an endless hope.’ I read this somewhere long ago, and it brought me comfort when my dad passed.

Dear Grace, the life of the party…our gatherings will be a little less lively now. Hopefully, someone in your family will pick up that slack. I miss you already.

God bless you, Grace. God bless your family.
