Harry E. Zielinski, 80, of Hampton Twp., our kind and devoted father, brother, uncle and friend was born into eternal life on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region. Harry was born in Bay City on April 7, 1934, the son of the late Edward and Florence (Gruczynski) Zielinski. Harry attended St. James School and would go on to work at General Motors, where he retired after many years of dedicated service. A humble and faith-filled man, Harry was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church. Known for his green thumb, Harry enjoyed gardening, camping, hunting and fishing. He had a passion and love for birds of all kinds, was a member of the Eagles and was extremely devoted to saving Brian’s House. Left to cherish his memory are his four children, Sheryl Samson, Anne and husband, Chuck Krohn, Randy Zielinski and Richard Zielinski. Harry is also survived by his brother, Thomas J. Zielinski of Pinconning and very special friend, Thelma Masters. He was the loving grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend to many. In addition to his parents, Harry was welcomed home to heaven by his three wives, Alma, Gail and Janet, along with his siblings, Jane Proulx and John Zielinski. Harry’s family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, June 13, 2014 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a 7:00 PM Vigil for the Deceased at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Saturday, June 14, 2014, Harry will be taken to St. John the Evangelist Church, 614 Pine St., Essexville, where visiting will continue from 9:00 AM until Harry’s 10:00 AM Funeral Liturgy. Fr. 2. I got to know Harry when he joined Save Brian’s House Community Group after McLaren Bay Region closed the existing Brian’s House.. He attended meetings and lent support for our goal of opening a residence in Bay County that specialized in quality end of life care and provide support for their loved ones by; finding and working with an existing hospice agency or building a residence with the support of the community.

We will miss his smile and his pleasant personality. Rest in Peace Harry and thank you for all of your efforts.
