Henry F. Frenzke

Henry F. Frenzke, 91, of Essexville, our devoted and honorable father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, June 23, 2017 at Wellspring – The Lutheran Home in Frankenmuth. Henry was born in Bay City on February 2, 1926, the son of the late Henry Carl and Selma (Kebschall) Frenzke. He was a graduate of Bay City Central (Class of 1944) and went on to proudly serve as U.S. Marine (1st Marine Division, 7th Regiment, 2nd Battalion, Easy Company 947532). Through mutual friends, he was introduced to Frances Setula. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on November 28, 1959. Their marriage was blessed with four children and countless memories. Sadly, Fran preceded Henry in death on February 27, 2004. Known for his excellent work ethic, Henry retired from General Motors – Powertrain after forty years of service. Throughout life, he enjoyed the Detroit Tigers, belonging to the AMVETS, bowling in his younger years, but most of all, spending time with his family. Henry leaves to cherish his memory, his four children: Henry Rick (Jane) Frenzke, Heidi (Mark) Heiden, Mark Frenzke, and Heather (Torrance) McMurren. He was the supportive and loving grandpa of Michael (Kelly) Schofield, Tyler, Alexa, Destiny, and Trinity McMurren, Brittany, Troy, and Allyson Frenzke and the great-grandpa of Karly Schofield and Ashlynn Gillis. Henry is also survived by his brother, Carl Frenzke; brother-in-law, Frank (Joan) Setula; sisters-in-law, Rose Setula and Janet Setula, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, Henry was welcomed home to heaven by his sister, Ruth (Lee) Bond; sister-in-law, Phyllis Frenzke, and in-laws, Ed (Jenny) Setula, Helen (Leo) Deroschers, Rudy Setula, and Charles Setula. Henry’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, Henry will be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 247 N. Lincoln, Bay City, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of Henry’s 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony. Interment will be held privately in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Immanuel Lutheran Church. It was a sudden shock to here of Hank’s passing. I worked with him at GM and he helped me with
Essexville Little League. Had a few bears and lots of laughs. Will miss you Hank. Semper Fi
