Howard C. Bock

Beloved husband, stepfather, and grandfather passed away Monday November 2, 2009. Age 80 years. Howard Charles Bock was born October 8, 1929 to the late William F. and Sarah C. (Chaven) Bock. He married Barbara Rummler May 25, 1974. She survives him. Howard retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1982. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Salina-Pioneer Lodge 79 and was also an avid duck hunter and golfer in his younger years. Howard enjoyed the outdoors and spending the winters in Florida. Surviving besides his wife are his step-children, who he loved as if they were his own, David (Susan) Grunow, Carolyn (John) Schneller, and Thomas (Jennifer) Grunow; 12 grandchildren, six great grandchildren; and one brother W. Herbert (Marciel) Bock, Sr. He was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Bock and Arnold Bock.Funeral service will take place 11 AM Saturday November 7, 2009 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S. Midland Rd. (M47). Rev. Kenneth V. Anderson will officiate with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the funeral home on Friday from 3-8PM and one hour before the service on Saturday.
