Irene H. Rivett

Passed away Friday September 16, 2011. Age 84 years. Irene Helen Reinke was born October 17, 1926 in Saginaw to the late Carl and Alveritta (Broadworth) Reinke. She married Norman J. Rivett November 30, 1945. They shared 52 years together before his death September 11, 1998. Irene enjoyed sewing, gardening, playing cards and bingo.Surviving are two sons, Wayne (Rita) Rivett, Oxford, Michigan and Dale (Barbara) Rivett, Manhattan, Kansas; three grandchildren, Christopher (Julie) Rivett, Oxford, MI, Eric (Amy) Rivett, Troy, MI, and Kelli (Daniel) Ireton, Manhattan, KS; four great grandchildren, Kristen Rivett, and Madeline, Alex and Gage Ireton; one sister-in-law Charlotte Reinke; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters and two brothers, Marion Hazzard, Arlene “Carla” Shaner, Charles “Bud” Reinke, and Harold Reinke.Funeral service will take place 11 AM Saturday September 24, 2011 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S. M-47). Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Saturday one hour before the service.
