Irene J. Chapman

Chapman, Irene J. Saginaw, MI Passed away Thursday December 26, 2013. Age 78 years. Irene Jayne VanEvery was born December 25, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan to LeRoy and Marion (DeYoung) VanEvery. They predeceased her. She married William R. Chapman in 1954. He predeceased her in 2006. Irene was a faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, and enjoyed singing in the choir. Surviving are one son and one daughter; William (Lucille) Chapman, Jr., Deborah (Francis "Skip") Konecny, six grandchildren; Michelle (Robert) Goist, Stephen (Danielle) Konecny, David (Alicia) Konecny, William Raymond (Jova) Chapman, III, Christopher Chapman, Mary Elizabeth Staszak, 11 grandchildren, two brothers DeWayne (Sharon) VanEvery, William (Diane) VanEvery, and many other loving family members and friends. Funeral and committal service will take place 11AM Monday, December 30, 2013 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 5250 Mackinaw at Schust Rds, Rev. Homer Mosley, Jr will officiate. Interment will take place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to gather with the family at Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Rd (S-M47) on Sunday Dec. 29 from 2PM to 8PM, and at the church on Monday one hour before the funeral.
