Irma McGuire

Passed away Tuesday September 27, 2011. Age 91 years. Irma Kuster was born October 24, 1919 in Saginaw to Deyo and Oma (Walters) Kuster. She married Louis T. McGuire August 6, 1938. He predeceased her April 29, 1989. Irma was a member of Kochville Methodist Church. She was treasurer of the church sponsored Retiree Club, a member of a senior citizen’s line dancing club, and a lifetime member of a 500 card club. Irma worked as Zilwaukee Township Treasurer for 16 years, and was also a clerk in the boys department at Heavenrich’s downtown Saginaw store for 16 years. She loved gardening and flowers.Surviving are three daughters; Shirley (Joseph) Mitchell, Kalamazoo, Joyce Johnson, California, and Mary (Robert) Rogers, California, eight grandchildren, John (Patty) Mitchell, Jennifer (Robert) Tremewan, David (Christine) Mitchell, Timothy Rummler, Mark (Martha) Howay, Philip (Kathleen) Howay, Deborah (Dave) Coffey, and Lt. Col. Bryan (Sharon) Howay, 15 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, one brother Francis (Mary) Kuster, two brothers-in-law Gerald McGuire and Neil (Phyllis) McGuire, and many other loving family members and friends. Irma was predeceased by her granddaughter Diane Morse, son-in-law Donald Johnson, sister Helen Wolcott, and sister-in-law Ruth McGuire.Funeral service will take place 11AM Saturday October 1, 2011 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Rd. (S. M-47). Rev. Susan Bennett Stiles will officiate with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
