ZELMER, James J. - of Ocala, Florida, formerly of St. Charles, Michigan, age 75, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Woodland Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Funeral services will be held 1PM, Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home in Saginaw. Burial to follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Chaplain Jodie Diehl officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or Woodland Hospice House. James was born February 8, 1942 in Reese, Michigan to the late Ferdinand and Julia (Birkner) Zelmer. Surviving are: Wife, Edna Zelmer; Sisters: Linda (Earl) Bott of Chesaning and Beverly Volker of Merrill; Sister-in-law, Becky Zelmer of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Colleen on March 28, 2006; Brothers: John Zelmer and Ronald Zelmer; Sister, Sharon Chinivere, and Brother-in-law, Richard Volker.
