Hoff, Jane Elizabeth Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away Saturday evening, April 2, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family following a short illness. She was born October 4, 1928 In Saginaw. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1946, attended Central Michigan University and graduated from Michigan State University in 1972 with B.A. in Education. She taught school in Saginaw Township for many years. Jane was very industrious with many hobbies and activities including roofing her own barn and siding her house. She was an avid golfer, bowler, and a member of The Germania Club and Michigan Association of Retired teachers. Jane was an avid gardener and quilter who also enjoyed stained glass art and fishing. She was married to Neil P. Hoff on January 30th, 1954. He predeceased her in 1991. Jane is survived by a son, Christopher Hoff of Saginaw and a daughter Elizabeth Coryell and her husband Philip Coryell of Onekama. She is also survived by three grandsons, Joel and Michael Coryell of Kalamazoo, and Jack Coryell of Onekama, who loved her very much. Jane is survived by one sister Laura Yelsik of Saginaw, as well as many friends, and two very special friends Kisska and Grady. Jane was also predeceased by her beloved son Gordon on February 27, 2009, and her parents Gladys and John A (Mac) McFadden, and many dear family members and friends. Funeral service will take place 11AM Thursday, April 7, 2001 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 South Midland Rd, (S-M47). Rev. Gene Riley will officiate with entombment to follow at Chapel Hill Mausoleum in Freeland. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM the 8PM. Memorial offerings are suggested to Emmaus House, Saginaw County Humane Society, or the Saginaw Rescue Mission.
