August 31, 1938 ~ January 22, 2016
Janice Elaine “Janie” Ransier, 77, of Bay City, our family oriented, strong, funny, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was born into eternal life on the evening of Friday, January 22, 2016 at her home. Janie was born in Bay City on August 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Barney and Delphine (Stachowiak) Wlodarczak. She graduated from St. Stan’s High School and was known for her unwavering love for her family. Janie enjoyed traveling the world with Dawn, Todd and family, and some of her favorite places to call home were Guam, Washington State, and Connecticut. She met many friends along the way that grew to love her as much as we all do. She also enjoyed weekend road trips with her three girls. Janie was known to occasionally stop by the casino, and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Diane Johnson, Debra LeVasseur, and Dawn and husband, Todd Reed. She will forever be missed, but lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Kristi LeVasseur, Kari LeVasseur, Jennie Lindauer, Janelle Lindauer, J.J. Johnson, Wesley Reed, Jordan Johnson, Aaron Johnson, Christian Reed, and Haleigh Reed. Also surviving are twelve great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Janie was welcomed home to heaven by her brother, Gerald Wlodarczak. Janie’s family will be present to receive visitors on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 from 10:00 AM until the time of her 12:00 Noon Memorial Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. Dale Orlik will officiate with a Celebration of Life Reception immediately following in The Wesley Room at Skorupski's. I never really knew her that well but I can tell you I seen this woman at most of her grand daughters Pom Pom events supporting her and also seen her hang with the best of them at a late night bonfire, so in my book she was awesome. May her spirit and positive energy bring you all peace during this time. Thoughts and prayers from the Ziegelmanns
So very sorry Diane, Debbie, Dawn and family for your loss. Your mom was a great person who always enjoyed having us over. Thinking of you all at this very difficult time Sending prayers your way as you take time to find peace with her passing, celebrate who she was and her life. Sincerely The Family of Dale & Holly Bills
My mom was the most selfless person I have ever known. She was always strong when others couldn’t be and put everyone else’s needs, whether physical or mental, ahead of her own. I think this feeling resonates through our entire family. She is deeply missed, but a little piece of her will live on in all of us. There is no doubt in my mind that she knew exactly how much we loved her, appreciated her, and how much she meant to us all. It gives me peace to know that she will be watching over me. Until we meet again….

RIP Jan ! She was a great friend to my mother and I always enjoyed the stories of their outings and fun they use to have when they would go to the casino, . They were both born at the end of August and both passed away at the end of January, I bet my mom was there waiting for Jan with opened arms. <3
I have a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever – being fortunate to have my mom with me for the last twenty years. My mom was the most giving person you could ever meet. No matter what anybody did, good or bad, she treated them equally. She just had a way of making you feel special. I can’t even begin to express how much I will miss her EVERY day :heart::heart::heart::heart::heart:
