LEMMER, Jerry Dale - of Saginaw, age 83, died Monday, January 14, 2019 at home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to Michigan Parkinson’s Foundation. Jerry was born February 15, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Jacob and Arlene (Bruns) Lemmer. He grew up in Saginaw and graduated from Arthur Hill Trade School in 1953. On October 22, 1955 he married Lola Strong in Saginaw, Michigan. Jerry served his country in the US Naval Reserves. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he worked for GM as a Foreman in Production for 32 years. He was a member of the Kosciuszko Pulaski Club in Saginaw. Jerry enjoyed bowling, jigsaw puzzles, woodworking in his shop, and traveling to Riverview, Florida in the winters with his wife. Surviving are: Wife, Lola; Children, Karen (Tim) Allen, Dale (Jen) Lemmer; Grandchildren, Jeff (Brooklyn) Lemmer, Jerika (Jonathan) Dabbs; Great Grandchildren, Alice Dabbs, Kayleigh Dabbs, Jace Lemmer, and 1 on the way; Brothers, Roland Lemmer, Robert (Sue) Lemmer; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents: Sisters, Joyce (Karl) Roth, Charlotte (Robert) Campbell; Sister in law, Mary Jane Lemmer.
