John G. Butyer

Passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side, on Tuesday November 24, 2015. Age 86 years. John was born October 12, 1929 in Saginaw to the late John and Mabel (Killenbeck) Butyer. He married Joyce Robart August 4, 1956. She survives him. Surviving besides his wife are 3 daughters; Kimberly (late William) Stoneburner, Fay (late David) Adkins, and Jonette Samaniego, 4 grandchildren; Nacole, Juan, Aaron, and Theron, 13 great grandchildren, many other loving family members and friends, and his cats Sparky and Tillie. John was predeceased by 3 sisters and 1 brother. A special thank you is extended to McLaren Hospice for the compassionate care. John retired in 1986 after over 38 years of service as a millwright. John served his country in the U.S. Army. He was known as a great whistler. According to John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial offerings are suggested to Saginaw County Humane Society.
