Jose V. ""Joe"" Jimenez

Jose V. Jimenez, Jr., 83, our kind and upbeat brother and uncle was born into eternal life on the morning of Monday, February 6, 2017 at Huron Woods Nursing Home. Joe was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 19, 1933, the son of the late Anastacio and Matilde (Velasquez) Torres. Dedicated and hardworking, Joe spent many years in the farming industry near Traverse City. He enjoyed completing puzzles, word searches, and an occasional ice cold beer. He leaves to cherish his memory his two sisters, Matilde Jimenez and Lucy Pena, both of San Antonio; nephew, Roy (Norma) Torres; niece, Esther Jimenez, along with many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. Joe was welcomed home to heaven by his parents, biological father, Jose V. Jimenez Sr., and brothers, Bob Jimenez and Albert Torres. Joe’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 4:00 PM until the time of Joe’s 6:00 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
