Joyce M. Zeitz

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Joyce Mae Manchester was born January 3, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to Andrew J. and Flavy R. (Scoville) Manchester. She married Erwin G. Zeitz on December 1, 1956. They shared 56 years together. He survives her. Mrs. Zeitz attended Central Nazarene Church of Saginaw. She enjoyed travel, and loved to visit the Mackinac Bridge, often stopping by her favorite Cracker Barrel restaurant on the way home.Surviving besides her husband Erwin, are two daughters and three sons; Mark (Vicki) Zeitz, Melissa Zeitz, Kevin (Yolanda) Zeitz, Dean Zeitz, and Misty Zeitz, fourteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one on the way, two sisters; Esther (late Robert) Hickson and Agnes (late James) Nieznajko, sister-in-law Shirley Manchester, and her beloved cat Pusa.Joyce was preceded in death by her daughters Becky Jo Zeitz and Pamela Walters, and her son-in-law Ron Walters. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; Virtue, Loyad (late Lavinia), Ellen (late Kenneth), Harold (late Eleanor), Gertrude (late Arnold), Richard (late Sue), Frederick (late Phyllis) and Kenneth.Funeral service will take place 11AM Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Road (S-M47). Rev. Franklin Ward will officiate with interment to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends and family will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday May 14th from 1PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. Memorial offerings are suggested to Community Christian Fellowship of Oakley.
