Julius “Jo” Huri, 91, of Munger, our strong, yet quiet husband and father passed away on the morning of Friday, May 27, 2016 at The Carriage House. Julius was born in Saginaw on April 9, 1925, the son of the late Joseph and Julia (Cavis) Huri. Growing up, Jo enjoyed farming the prairie farm with his brothers and sisters. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was united in marriage to the love of his life, the former Betty Yeager on December 11, 1943. Throughout life he worked as a manager of a travel trailer company and later for an electric company. Julius’ hobbies included camping in Florida and the Midwest and 4-H. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 73 years, Betty and their daughter, Susan Huri Geiger. Also surviving is one sister, Emma Huri Acker, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Julius was welcomed home to heaven by his two brothers and two sisters. A private committal will take place at St. Andrew's Cemetery in Saginaw on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. Final arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.
