Kathleen “Kay” Masters, 86, of Bay City, our kind, caring, independent, and very loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Kay was born in Bay City on October 8, 1931, the daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Germain) Obermiller. Kay was retired from General Motors and active with Local 699. Besides family, her true love in life was browsing and shopping QVC. She leaves to cherish her memory, her three sons: Gary (Jan) Masters, Richard Masters, and Dave (Veronica) Masters. Kay’s memory will live on in the hearts of her grandchildren, Mark Masters, Ryan (Ann) Masters, Laura (Dennis) Masters, and Scott (Alanna) Masters; eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Karen Gorski and Janice (Ray) Jacobs; in-laws, Kay Obermiller and Louis Grew, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Kay was welcomed home to heaven by her siblings, Elaine Grew, Marilyn Grew, John, Leonard, Donald, Lawrence, and Richard Obermiller, along with many in-laws. Kay’s family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, November 20, 2017 from 2:00 PM until the time of Kay’s 7:30 PM Tribute Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.  The Rite of Committal will be held privately at St. Patrick Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the great doctors and nurses at McLaren Bay Region, especially ICU and CCU. Along with special blessings to Sister Jean.
