Kellie Jo Klepser-Hafford

kellie klepser-hafford
When you hear the name Kellie Jo Klepser-Hafford, you can’t help but recall her infectious smile, compassionate nature, and wonderful sense of humor. Our beautiful and loving mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord on the evening of Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit at the age of 38. The sunshine of Thomas and Joni (Hartman) Klepser was born in Bay City on August 6, 1977. Kellie graduated with the Class of 1996 from Garber High School. Her natural way with people shined through while working as a server at Applebee’s. Most recently, Kellie could be found ministering and helping the good people at the Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. Above anything else, family came first. She was a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed cooking and baking. Kellie made the best birthday cakes and was the most loving mother, smart and helpful daughter, and a friend to all. She enjoyed attending all of her children’s events and will be deeply missed, but lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Left to miss her forever, but carry on her legacy are her four children: Allison, Benjamin, Kathryn “Katie,” and Christopher. She will remain alive in the hearts of her parents, Tom and Joni Klepser and siblings, Kendra (Curt) Howard and Kevin (ThresaAnne) Klepser. Also surviving are her grandparents, Kenneth Klepser and Marilyn McDonald; nephews and niece, Alex, Andrew, Adam, Adalyn, and Jacob, and her close friends, Olivia, Angela, Jessica, and Missy. Kellie was welcomed home to heaven by her grandmother, Kathleen Klepser and grandfather, John Hartman. Kellie's family will be present to receive visitors on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. On Monday, June 20, 2016, Kellie will be taken to Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1705 Nebobish Ave., Essexville, where visiting will continue from 10:00 AM until the time of her 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony. Rev. Erwin M. Hutter will officiate with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family. The entire family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit for their compassionate care. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I have silly memories of Kellie from when we were little. Kendra, Kellie, Dawn, Tammie, Mike and I would play at Aunt Kath’s and Uncle Ken’s and have picnics. Kellie always was smiling…. it was contagious and I don’t know if she ever even knew how to frown. We reconnected in the past few years, sadly at funerals, but it was nice to have her back in my life. Kellie, you will be missed dearly. Joni, Tom, Kendra, Kevin and kids, you are in my heart and my prayers. I love you, cousin. Family is everything and everything else is just everything else.

  2. Kellie you are gone from this earth but alive in memories to many….Fly high beautiful angel…..

  3. Joni and Tom,
I didn’t get a chance to get to know Kellie, however, John always spoke very highly of her, he was devastated to get the call last night. We are so very very sorry for your loss, our hearts have been with you throughout this tragic event. With love and sympathy,
