GILLIG, Larry E. - of Saginaw, age 79, died Sunday, November 25, 2018 at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. Inurnment and military honors will be conducted at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post #22. Larry was born June 12, 1939 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Emanuell and Arlene (Bouliew) Gillig. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1957. Larry proudly served in the United States Air Force as an In Flight Refueler. He worked for Draper Automotive for 20 years, retiring in 2007. Larry was a member of American Legion Post #22 and former member and employee of the Saginaw Moose Lodge. He enjoyed watching sports, fishing, and going to the rail trail on his scooter. He also enjoyed going to the American Legion fish fry’s and most of all, spending time with his granddaughter, Madison. Surviving are: Granddaughter, Madison Gillig; Son, Christopher Gillig, and daughter-in-law, Lindsay Harshman. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald and Alec Gillig. he is also my dad.my other was kathleen gillig i havent seen larry since febuary 23 1974 when he drove my mother to kill herself.then he went to court and said he didnt want anything to do with me . i was 10 at the time
