July 24, 1970 ~ May 20, 2023
LeAnna “LeAnn” L. (Tacey) Meyers, 52, of Bay City, our selfless, kind-hearted, compassionate, and most loving wife, devoted mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and loyal friend passed away on the morning of Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 9:02 AM, surrounded by her family at her residence. The daughter of LeRoy and JoAnne (Gradowski) Tacey, LeAnn was born on July 24, 1970 in Bay City. She was a 1988 graduate of Garber High School, playing on the softball team all four years. She married Kenneth “Ken” Meyers September 21, 1991 in St. John’s Church of Essexville. He survives her. After graduation, LeAnn began her career with Karbowski Oil where she worked for over 15 years. While at Karbowski, she attended Delta College for a radiation degree. After receiving her degree, and still at Karbowski Oil, she worked as an X-Ray technician in the local hospitals on weekends until accepting a position at Great Lakes Pain Clinic, where she worked 18 years until her illness was diagnosed. Mrs. Meyers loved playing softball, helping her parents serve fish dinners at their Bay Shore Bar, cheering on her daughters at their many sports and robotics events, camping, boating, hiking, and anything involving spending time outdoors, and above all, spending time with family and friends. Surviving besides her husband Ken, she leaves behind her two daughters, Kaylee Meyers and Ashlynn Meyers. Also surviving are her father, LeRoy Tacey; father-in-law, Joseph (Denise) Meyers; mother-in-law, Linda Meyers; siblings, Joe (Kim) Tacey and Angie Jacoby; sister-in-law, Christina (Lonny) Meyers-Sain, and nieces and nephews, Courtney (Cody), Zachary (Shelby), Shawn, Shannan, and Shantel. She was predeceased by her mother, JoAnne Tacey.
LeAnn’s family will be present to receive visitors on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 10:00 AM until LeAnn’s 11:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 821 N. Pine Rd., between Ridge & Center. Fr. Dale Orlik will preside with the Rite of Committal to follow in St. Patrick Cemetery. I had the pleasure of working with LeAnn for 4 years at GLPC. She truly was one of the nicest people I have ever met. She had a heart of gold; whether she was cleaning the snow off my car windows after a big snow storm or telling me where she found my favorite adult beverage after it became hard to find to buying me a gift from “Santa” after the one she brought for a white elephant exchange was taken from me to countless other wonderful memories. She loved her family more than anything and I looked forward to hearing all about their adventures and accomplishments. She beamed with pride when she spoke of her girls. She will truly be missed. Until we meet again LeAnn – fly high – I love you.
