Leonard Stephen Jajo

leonard jajo
Leonard Stephen Jajo, our fun and hardworking father, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home. Leonard was born in Mt. Forest Twp. on April 20, 1933, the son of the late Stephen and Edna (Dubay) Jayo. While at Wenona Beach, he happened to notice a lady with red hair by the name of Mary Robinson. After asking her to ride the roller coaster with him, they both knew they were meant for each other. They dated, fell in love and were united in marriage on May 9, 1953. Sadly, Mary preceded him in death on May 30, 2005. Leonard proudly served our country with the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the NRA. He will always be remembered for his love of motorcycles, photography, camping, deer hunting and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his five children, Mary Lou (Roger) Ball, Leonard Jr. (Marie) Jajo, Tina (Van) Spencer, Lisa (Bob) Ostrander, Roger (Suzette) Jajo and his siblings, Deloris Zarasus, Edna Miner, Stephen Jajo, Roger Jayo. Leonard was the beloved grandpa of nineteen grandchildren and thirty-seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and his wife, Leonard was welcomed home to heaven by his grandson, Eric Jajo; daughter-in-law, Tina Jajo; father and mother-in-law, Kenneth and Ruth Robinson and sister, Gloria Ballard. Leonard's family will be present to receive visitors on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 9:00 AM until the time of his 10:00 AM Funeral Ceremony at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. David Jenuwine will officiate with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the wishes of the family.
