Leslie K. “Les” Ginter, 77, of Bay City, our hard working, proud, soft spoken, and devoted, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was born into eternal life on the morning of March 12, 2018 in Matlacha, Florida. Les was born on April 19, 1940 in Elkton, the son of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Magwood) Ginter. Les worked at Prestolite for many years and held many supervisor positions. On January 26, 1963 he married the love of his life, the former Carolyn Neuhaus. Together they shared three wonderful sons, over 55 years of marriage, and countless memories. Les was an avid softball pitcher for many years, he enjoyed playing golf with his friends, and loved to spend the winters in Matlacha, Florida – his favorite place. He was also a former Elk Member, Junior Achievement volunteer, and the President of American Production and Inventory Control Society. Les enjoyed going out for breakfast every morning with his friends. His biggest life accomplishment was his family, he was so proud of his sons and was the best husband to Carolyn, he will be missed dearly. Left to cherish his memory, is his wife, Carolyn; his three sons, Kenneth Ginter, Matthew (Tricia) Ginter, and Bradley Ginter; grandchildren, Chadrick, Morgan, and Matthew Ginter; his brother, John (Kathy) Ginter; sisters-in-law, Judy Ginter and Nancy Flaherty; special nieces, Kelly, Tammy, Shelly, Debbie, Jackie, Kristen, Colleen, and Tricia, along with his dear friends, Tom Newcombe, Leo Urban, Mike Weaver, Ron Nanni, and Al Garcia. In addition to his parents, Les was welcomed home to heaven by his brother, Robert Ginter, and in-laws, Carl and Ethelyn Neuhaus. Les’ family will be present to receive visitors on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 11:00 AM until the time of his 4:00 PM Life Celebration at Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp. Fr. John Sarge will be officiating. A Reception & Tribute Cocktail Hour will follow in The Wesley Room at Skorupski’s. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Salvation Army. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at www.skorupskis.com.
