Lois A. Biroscak, 83, of West Elmira, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2015 in Bay City, MI. She was born November 14, 1932 in Elmira, NY to William Rhys and Beatrice Mildred (Hitchcock) Wheeler. After her father passed, she was lovingly adopted by her step father, Henry Huber. Lois graduated from Corning Northside High School and then Arnot Ogden Hospital School of Nursing. She served in the Emergency Room for many years and made many close working friendships. She was very devoted to Mary the Blessed Mother. In addition to raising her six children (she had seven children in eight years), Lois was an accomplished artist, gardener, voracious reader and consummate professional. She is survived by her brother, Philip Huber, of Horseheads, NY and her sister, Marcia Smith, of Penn Yan, NY; brothers-in-law, Joseph Biroscak and Vincent S. Biroscak, Jr.; sisters-in-law Cecilia Taylor, Mary Salm, and Catherine Kolb; daughters, Mary M. Biroscak, Linda L. Kugelman, Anne M. Hauser, Elizabeth A. Biroscak, and son William H. Biroscak; along with many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss her dearly. Lois is predeceased by her beloved husband, William J. Biroscak, and daughter, Patricia Lynn Murdock. Lois will be interred along with Dad and their wedding rings at Woodlawn National Cemetery on Tuesday, December 22 at 2 pm. Please honor Mom with donations to Mount Saviour Monastery or to the SPCA in Big Flats. Mass will be said at in her honor at 9:00 am on January 2, 2016 - Mom and Dad's 62nd wedding anniversary - at Mount Saviour Monastery, Pine City, NY. Final arrangements have been entrusted to Skorupski Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 955 N. Pine Rd., Hampton Twp.
