Louise M. Ligney, 94, of Bay City, our strong, hard-working and positive mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord on the afternoon of Thursday, July 6, 2016 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. Louise was born in Bay City on September 19, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Clarabelle (Marentette) DesRosier. Her hard-working, positive demeanor helped her raise five children while caring for her household. Louise loved her family, baking, and playing cards in her free time. Louise leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, James (Janet) Ligney and Lawrence (Vicki) Ligney; grandchildren, Lisa, Jeff, Mike, Tim, and Kevin; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Raegen, and Robynn. In addition to her parents, Louise was welcomed home to heaven by her husband, Joseph; children, JoAnn, Alvin, and Edward Ligney; siblings, Margaret Pease and Joseph DeRosier, Jr. Private arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Skorupski Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 955 N.
