Lucy H. Kettelhohn

Passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010. Age 88 years. Lucy H. Cohrs was born September 11, 1921 in Bay City to the late Herman and Caroline (Kloha) Cohrs. She married Dr. Arthur F. Kettelhohn December 23, 1943 in Bay City. He predeceased her August 14, 1988. Lucy was member of Peace Lutheran Church and participated in the social ministries program. She was a former member of the Optimrs Club and the St. Lukes Hospital Auxiliary. She also was involved in implementing the volunteer program at Luther Manor. Lucy enjoyed knitting, playing bridge, dogs, and visiting with family and friends. Surviving are four sons and one daughter, Mike (Nancy) Kettelhohn, Kay (George) Pike, Rick (Connie) Kettelhohn, Kim Kettelhohn, and Peter (Sarah) Kettelhohn; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Marge (Charles) McInerney and Lois (Don) Nordholm; and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by one brother and one sister.Funeral service will take place 11AM Monday April 12, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church, 3427 Adams Ave. in Saginaw. Rev. C. William Weis will officiate with interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home on S. Midland Rd. (M47) on Sunday from 2-8PM, and at the church on Monday one hour before the service. Memorial offerings may be given to the charity of your choice.
