Madeline E. Richardson

Richardson, Madeline E.Saginaw, MichiganPassed away Wednesday March 6, 2013 at the age of 95 years. Madeline Elizabeth Billhimer was born October 17, 1917 in Laura, Ohio to the late Ezra and Anna (Shellabarger) Billhimer. She married Carlton Marion Richardson March 1, 1941 in Troy, Ohio. He predeceased her January 10, 1970. Madeline previously resided in Phoenix, Arizona where she sang with the Sweet Adelines and was a church song leader. She also was a hospital volunteer for 20 years and also volunteered at the crisis nursery.Surviving are her son Carlton Jack (Joyce) Richardson, five grandchildren; Leola (Richard) Schneer, Jennifer (Tom Deaton) Richardson, Frank Richardson, John (Marisa) Richardson, and Joel Richardson, three great grandchildren; Micaela Richardson, Alexis Richardson, and Brooke Richardson, and many other loving family members and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Dale Billhimer, Irma Billhimer, Emil Billhimer, and Evelyn Billhimer Weatherhead.Funeral service will take place 11AM Monday, March 11, 2013 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot. Pastor Gary Hansen will officiate. Friends and family are welcome to gather at the Reitz Herzberg Funeral Home, 1550 S. Midland Rd. (S. M-47) on Sunday from 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM and at the church on Monday one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings are suggested to Ascension Lutheran Church.
