GREGORY, Mary E. - of Saginaw, age 79, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 11AM Monday, March 5, 2018 at Ascension Lutheran Church, 8695 Gratiot Road, Saginaw. Pastor Julie Bailey officiating. Burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family will receive visitors at the Reitz-Herzberg Funeral Home on Sunday from 2PM until 8PM and at the church on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ascension Lutheran Church. Mary was born April 6, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Leonard and Margaret (Pickell) Howell. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1956. Mary married Clifford Gregory on January 9, 1960 at First Christian Church in Saginaw. She worked for U.S. Graphite Company for 13 years. Later she worked in the cafeteria at Heritage High School, retiring in 2001. Mary was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for 37 years. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary also enjoyed making dolls and decorating cakes, which she won many awards for. Surviving are: Husband, Clifford; Daughter, Amy Wortley; Grandchildren: Gregory Wortley and Sarah Wortley; Brother, Leonard (Ruth) Howell, and sister Barbara Johnson. She was also preceded in death by: Son, Wayne Gregory; Daughter, Karen Gregory, and brother, Jerry Howell.
